How is Phenix Real-Time Streaming different from SRT?

SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) is a transport protocol optimized for high-performance secure video streaming across unpredictable networks, including those that include firewalls.

SRT is designed for contribution rather than for delivery to end users, and uses either a point to point or point to multipoint architecture. Broadcasters may use SRT for tasks such as remote production.

Phenix Real-Time Streaming is also designed to be resilient, but in contrast to SRT, it has been built from the ground up to offer scalable distribution to end users.
